Soup Kitchen

Food Programme

Clothing Store

Our soup kitchen distributes soup and donated bread outside the Salvokop centre to approximately 200 people every
week day.

POPUP’s food programme provides lunch daily to every learner attending a skills programme, equating to approximately 2 300 meals every month. According to internal research, an average of 12% of POPUP’s learners only eat 1 meal a day and that is the meal that they receive at POPUP.

The store hands out free clothing to learners in need as well as members of the local community. We also ensure that our learners are provided with an outfit for interviews if they are not in possession of suitable clothing.

POPUP offers a counselling service to its learners.

POPKids Salvokop Day Care Centre cares for an average of 45 children aged between 1 and 5 years every school day. The aim of POPKids is for the children attending to be well prepared for school and confident learners by providing for their physical, spiritual, emotional and educational needs.
