POPKids

The vision for POPKids, the POPUP Crèche, is to empower disempowered children between the ages of 12 months to 5 years from the community of Salvokop and surrounding areas through a holistic approach by:

• nurturing children in a safe and loving environment,
• adopting an holistic approach (spiritual, emotional, educational, , physical, psychological and recreational), and
• exposing them to the relevant opportunities, education and therapy that  will enhance optimal development.

From neglected, infected and rejected…
The children’s homes are normally poor, unsafe and dirty.  Many of these children are neglected or suffer from hunger, malnutrition, violence or abuse.  These poor living conditions hamper the children’s mental, physical, emotional and social development.

POPKids consists of 60 children between the ages of 1 and 5 years.  The children at POPKids spend their days in an environment where they are safe, loved and cared for.
POPKids follows an educational program that is designed to stimulate them and allow them to develop normally.  During the day we follow a structured routine which provides security and stability for the children.
