Corporate involvement
POPUP is a unique social investment opportunity. POPUP’s training and services are of a high quality, but this is not what makes POPUP unique. The transformation in the lives of the learners at POPUP distinguishes it from other organisations. Our Life Skills programme changes the learners’ morals and values. POPUP learners leave POPUP with the knowledge that their lives have a purpose. This is what distinguishes a POPUP learner.
POPUP’s future depends on our partnerships with the corporate sector. Together with POPUP the corporate world’s resources can be used to “do good and to do it well”.
POPUP operates according to sound business principles, is managed with integrity, values good stewardship and demonstrates accountability on all levels of its functioning.
Investing in POPUP is an opportunity for your company to contribute directly to the empowerment of the disempowered.
Additional partnership opportunities include:
- Team building at POPUP will give your staff on opportunity to make a difference.
- Donations can be made by means of your Corporate Social Investment Funding.
- Employ POPUP learners who have successfully completed their studies by appointing them as entry level staff members in your company, thus acquiring personnel with integrated sound morals and values.
- Donations “in kind” (not only financial contributions) very often make a marked difference.
- POPUP learners can be provided with placement opportunities at your company as part of their practical training.

- The provision of “starter packs” to learners who want to start their own businesses (e.g. donating a sewing machine to a learner who completed the Sewing skills programme).
- Lecturing certain skills, i.e. financial planning, legal aspects, marketing, preparation for the workplace and much more.
- Adopting a POPKids class and teacher and caring for that class financially.
- Adopting a skills programme by providing financial assistance for that programme.
