The Makhulong Child & Youth Care Centres currently consists of two homes, namely the Jabulani home for high school children and the Shalom home for primary school children.  The homes are situated on the Edendale farm on the Zambesi/Cullinan road.  It is our aim to create a normal home environment for the children that are part of this programme.

In 2009 we were able to refurbish the Shalom home with the help of generous men and woman from the construction industry, with the help of partners from the Doxa Deo North Campus.  We dream to do the same for the Jabulani home. 

The Jabulani home children currently live in a training facility on the Edendale campus.  The facility is not suitable as a proper home for the children; because it is impersonal and there are no bathroom facilities in the home (the children make use of facilities outside the home on the campus).  We would like to change this arrangement as soon as possible.  We will be grateful for any funding to help make this dream possible!

We would be grateful to companies who can assist us with putting "dry walling" into the existing home to convert it to make the space more suitable for the children.  We also wish to add bathrooms to the existing facility.
